DEUTZ Australia has made significant improvements to its BF4L914 4-cylinder engine, further enhancing its already impressive performance.
As part of the DEUTZ Drive series, the BF4L914 engine is specifically designed for the Australian and New Zealand markets, taking into account the unique conditions of these regions. These engines offer compactness, reliability, and fuel efficiency, utilising standardised components to cater to a wide range of applications.
The recent refinements include a redesigned muffler, now compatible with all BF4L914 engine power ratings, and an improved exhaust bellows design that simplifies installation and servicing procedures.
Originally introduced in Australia back in 2004, the upgraded version of the engine not only improves exhaust gas emissions but also reduces noise levels.
Shane Moretto, DEUTZ Australia’s Dealer Development Manager based in Melbourne, explains that these changes were implemented based on valuable feedback and experience gathered from the company’s dealer network across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, PNG, and Guam.
“The revisions have resulted in improved noise levels and a low back pressure exhaust system,” says Shane.
“Furthermore, the engines can now be utilised across a wider range of power ratings, offering customers more flexibility. Our aim was to provide customers with options and offer the DEUTZ Drive as a comprehensive power pack solution, saving time and costs for our dealers and OEMs. Globally, this engine has been widely embraced in various product applications.”
The BF4L914 engine is particularly well-suited for applications in mining, industrial, construction, power generation, and irrigation sectors. The modifications have been eagerly welcomed by customers, with DPS already procuring multiple engines.
The DEUTZ Drive BF4L914 4-cylinder engine features a compact and high-power air-cooled design, delivering an intermittent power rating of 78 kW. Its fuel efficiency, reliability, and ease of installation make it a preferred choice for OEMs. This streamlined installation process also helps reduce overall costs.
With its customised design catering to local conditions, the BF4L914 engine boasts additional advantages such as a mounted air cleaner, stainless steel intake pipe, low back pressure exhaust system, and AS4024 guarding, further enhancing its appeal in the market.
