About Hayes Manufacturing
Ray and Betty Hayes established Hayes Manufacturing in 1966, with Ray’s brother Clay. The operation grew from a small Michigan garage into a thriving, modern manufacturing business.
Initially a shop-for-hire, Hayes developed into a widely respected creator of top quality engine parts.
In 2019, another family-run business, the CK Power Family of companies, acquired Hayes Manufacturing.
CK Power has distributed, manufactured, and serviced the off-highway powertrain, equipment, and power solutions markets for more than 90 years.
Together, these quality businesses continue Hayes’ tradition of producing the best possible products with care and attention to detail.

Bearing supported stub shafts
DEUTZ sells the Hayes Original style bearing supported stub shaft. It enables you to side-load the flywheel of an engine, while preventing any load back to the crankshaft.
If you’re out of length but still have some width to work with, Hayes has all your side load needs covered.

Hydraulic pump drives
We stock individual Hayes components for installing hydraulic pumps, including Hex Flx and Original style couplings. We find that this covers most customer needs.
Pump mount plates: We offer pump mount plates suitable for all your pump mounting needs in black, yellow, and tan – whichever colour and bolt configuration you want or need.

Flywheel couplings: The HEX-FLX flywheel coupling operates below critical speeds with its high torsional stiffness. It minimises spline fretting and has the best shaft clamping abilities in its class. Replacing flywheel couplings of similar design with the HEX-FLX could also save money.
